Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord. That is sometimes much easier said than done. I think it's part of our human nature to want to be fixers of circumstances and situations we find ourselves in. I also think that emotions tend to get in the way as well, at least in my experience.  I often stop and think how much easier life would be if I did just stop and trust God. 

The verse above encourages us to trust the Lord with all our hearts. ALL our heart, not just part of it, ALL. That says to me that I am to let go of any control that I feel i have over my situation and trust God to work the best in my circumstance. By doing so, I can free myself of the control I want to have and can I experience peace in the midst of the storm. I'm not saying that it will be easy but I do know that it will be well worth it if I do. 

God desires to take care of me and my needs. My job is to surrender and to let go and let God.
